Description

This module introduces a range of quantitative methods for application to educational research contexts, developing a base of skills for statistical analysis and providing students with the expertise required to justify their choice of methods. Training will be given in utilising software and calculators for performing statistical analyses; the emphasis of this module is not on lengthy computation but on using technology to apply statistical techniques in an appropriate and justified way. Additionally, this module will enhance students' general statistical literacy and develop the confidence and skills required to critically engage with quantitative studies in education research.
